چکیده

Phenotype-based assortative mating is well established in humans, with the potential for further convergence through a shared environment. To assess correlation within infertile couples of physical, social, and behavioural characteristics 155 circulating metabolic measures. Cross sectional study at tertiary medical center 326 undertaking IVF. Serum lipids, lipoprotein subclasses, low-molecular weight metabolites as quantified by NMR spectroscopy (155 measures). Multivariable quantile regression correlations metabolite profiles. Couples exhibited statistical varying strength most including age, height, alcohol consumption, education, smoking status, physical activity, family history ethnicity, coefficients ranging from 0.22 to 0.73. There was no evidence couple associations BMI weight, where were -0.03 (95%CI -0.14, 0.08) 0.01 -0.10, 0.12), respectively. Within spousal measurements all positive but weak modest magnitudes, median coefficient across measures being 0.12 (range 0.37 interquartile range 0.10 0.18). With just four having stronger than 0.3: docosahexaenoic acid (0.37, 95%CI 0.22, 0.52), omega-3 fatty acids (0.32, 0.20, 0.43) histidine 0.23, 0.41) pyruvate 0.43). Infertile exhibit similarities demographic serum measures, supporting initial mating, diet-derived suggesting possible subsequent their individual profile.

Brain metabolomic profiles of lung cancer patients prior to treatment characterized by proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Cancer patients without evidence of brain metastases often exhibit constitutional symptoms, cognitive dysfunction and mood changes at the time of clinical diagnosis, i.e. prior to surgical and/or chemotherapy treatment. At present however, there is limited information on brain metabolic and functional status in patients with systemic cancers such as lung cancer prior to initiation of treatment....

Metabolomic analysis of rat brain by high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of tissue extracts.

Studies of gene expression on the RNA and protein levels have long been used to explore biological processes underlying disease. More recently, genomics and proteomics have been complemented by comprehensive quantitative analysis of the metabolite pool present in biological systems. This strategy, termed metabolomics, strives to provide a global characterization of the small-molecule complement...

Differential Effects of Dry Eye Disorders on Metabolomic Profile by 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy

We used (1)H NMR spectroscopy to analyze the metabolomic profile of reflex tears from patients with dry eye disorders (DEDs). 90 subjects were divided into 2 groups: (1) patients with DEDs (DEDG; n = 55) and (2) healthy subjects (CG; n = 35). Additionally, the DEDG was subdivided into 2 subgroups based on DED severity: mild-to-moderate and moderate (n = 22 and n = 33, resp.). Personal interview...

Serum metabonomics of acute leukemia using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy

Acute leukemia is a critical neoplasm of white blood cells. In order to differentiate between the metabolic alterations associated with two subtypes of acute leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), we investigated the serum of ALL and AML patients and compared with two controls (healthy and aplastic anemia) using (1)H NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spect...

Metabolomic alterations in elicitor treated Silybum marianum suspension cultures monitored by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

A comprehensive metabolomic profiling of Silybum marianum (L.) Gaernt cell cultures elicited with yeast extract or methyl jasmonate for the production of silymarin was carried out using one- and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. With these techniques we were able to detect both temporal quantitative variations in the metabolite pool in yeast extract-elicited cultures and ...
